Briefing Call with HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan on the Office of Sustainable Housing and Communities
For over two years, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Office for International and Philanthropic Innovation (IPI) has endeavored to keep you updated on and involved in the discussions regarding a wide variety of HUD programs and policies, especially as they relate to collaboration with the philanthropic community.
HUD is now excited to provide three specific opportunities for you to discuss some of these programs and policies directly with HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan. These three calls will present top priority areas for philanthropic engagement to advance our common goals for communities across the country. These priority areas offer valuable opportunities for increased impact with aligned investments, actions and ideas across the public and philanthropic sectors.
The Secretary's Briefing Calls will focus on the following three programs:
During each call, Secretary Donovan will provide a brief update on program, put forward immediate opportunities and the need for collaboration with philanthropy, and take part in question-and-answer discussion with all participating funders.
Funders may register for any of these briefing calls which will take place on the following dates:
Monday, August 6th –11am EDT: Choice Neighborhoods
**Wednesday, August 8th—2pm EDT: Office of Sustainable Housing and Communities**
Thursday, August 9th—11am EDT: Strong Cities, Strong Communities Initiative
