DEBRA A. KAHN

Debra assumed the leadership of DVG in November 2008, becoming the organization's fourth executive director. Debra's professional background in philanthropy and community affairs includes having served as a Principal in the public issues consulting firm GoldsmithKahnAssociates, LLC; Philadelphia Secretary of Education from 2000-2005; Executive Director of Philadelphia Futures; Assistant to the President of Temple University; Vice President of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at PNC Bank; and Special Assistant to Mayor William J. Green.

As DVG's executive director, Debra oversees the organization's overall management and strategic direction; develops working relationships and partnerships local and national colleague organizations to promote the mission of DVG; and provides insight regarding philanthropy's role in the broader community.

As a community volunteer, Debra serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Philadelphia Young Playwrights, Trustee of the Christopher Ludwick Foundation and Advisory Board Member of the Charles Ellis Fund.

Debra graduated from Franklin and Marshall College, cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and earned a M.A. from the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University.

Ashley joined DVG's staff in July 2011. Ashley provides value for members through planning and producing quality educational programs and networking events, anticipating and responding to requests for information and assistance, managing DVG's annual membership renewal process and supporting new member recruitment.

Ashley comes to DVG with experience across the nonprofit, business and government sectors. She most recently worked at JEVS Human Services as a Business Development Specialist, and previously spent three years as a Project Manager and Business Development Manager at Econsult Corporation, a regional economic consulting firm. Ashley has also worked with the School District of Philadelphia (Office of Development), Pennsylvania Governor's Office of Policy and Planning and the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation.

Ashley earned a Master of Government Administration degree from the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania, and was a double major graduate in Sociology and Advertising from Pennsylvania State University, Phi Beta Kappa. In 2011, she completed Young Involved Philadelphia's Nonprofit Board Prep Program and now serves on the planning committee for future classes. Ashley also serves on the board of Girls Rock Philly, a volunteer-based non-profit music and mentoring organization, and as a member of the East Falls Development Corporation's Real Estate Committee and the Fels Alumni Leadership Council.

AMY SEASHOLTZ

Amy is a 20-year veteran of DVG. During her tenure she has served in a variety of capacities for the organization including Operations Manager and Director of Administration. In her current role as Director of Communications, she is responsible for planning, managing, implementing and evaluating DVG's communications to effectively advance the organization's mission, vision and goals.

Immediately prior to joining DVG, Amy was on staff at Yellow Springs Institute for Contemporary Studies and the Arts, an international residency and performing arts center located in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, that supported the creation of new works in experimental theater, dance and music. Previously, Amy worked as a corporate travel consultant, which afforded her the opportunity to travel extensively throughout U.S. and abroad.

Amy holds a B.S. in Marketing from the Pennsylvania State University. While at Penn State she participated in a semester abroad at the University of Exeter in the U.K.

MATT SMITH

Matt joined DVG in 2005 as the Manager of Operations and Member Support. He was recently promoted to Director of Finance and Administration. In this role, Matt is responsible for leading and managing the ongoing business functions and administration of DVG. Primary areas of responsibility include finance, bookkeeping and benefits administration; grant writing, reporting and management; governance and compliance; operations and office management.

Previously Matt worked for the American College of Physicians, where he served as coordinator for several medical research grants. He earned a B.A. in American Studies from Temple University.

Theresa joined DVG's staff in November 2011. Theresa maintains DVG's member database and provides support in many areas including program implementation, retention and recruitment of members and communications.

Theresa is a graduate of Hampshire College with concentrations in American Studies and English.
