| [6/6] Funder Breakfast and Roundtable Discussion on Improving the Safety Net through Systems Change DVG and the North Penn Community Health Foundation (NPCHF) will co-host a special breakfast
and continuing discussion on the role of the philanthropic community in
supporting systems change efforts to transform the safety net of programs and
services available in Montgomery County and beyond. Joining the conversation will be Katya Fels Smyth, Founder and CEO of the Full Frame Initiative, who has been leading a series of workshops to help the local social service community nurture their skills to engage in systems
change efforts.
[6/13] Giving with Impact: Strategic Collaborations That
Make a Difference Delaware Valley Grantmakers, the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New
Jersey, and The Philadelphia Foundation are teaming up to present this interactive workshop, led by national funder
group Grantmakers for Effective Organizations (GEO), examining how funders and nonprofits can effectively utilize strategic
collaborations to make a difference and drive social change.

Member News Funders commission study on the impact of Medicaid expansion in PA
In an April 19 press release, the Pennsylvania
Economy League, Inc. (PEL) announced the publication of a new report
commissioned by the PA Health Funders Collaborative (PHFC) on the impact of
Medicaid expansion in the Commonwealth. The report, The Economic and Fiscal Impact of
Medicaid Expansion in Pennsylvania, reveals that expanding Medicaid to
low-income Pennsylvanians as part of the Affordable Care Act would support tens
of thousands of new jobs, generate billions in economic activity and result in
a net positive impact on the state budget between 2016 and 2022. An Executive Summary of the report is also available.

| Eagles Youth Partnership leads the way in bringing the Beyond Sport Summit to Philadelphia
On April 17, representatives from the Eagles organization and other Philadelphia sports teams joined Mayor Michael Nutter to announce that the City would host the international Beyond Sport Summit here in September 2013. The Summit is an annual event that brings together the best sport-led social innovators with influential, global leaders to address sport's role in driving positive social change. The Eagles were named Beyond Sport Team of the Year in 2011.

Scattergood Foundation shares more than office space at The Exchange At the Friends Center in Philadelphia, half-a-dozen organizations are sharing real
estate -- and building community. The brainchild of Scattergood Foundation president Joe Pyle, The Exchange is a co-work space that promotes the notion of partnership and collaboration. The arrangement isn't about cheap rent - it's about being more connected. Pyle says, "I'm smarter everyday from just saying hello to somebody here."
